Knoll to Make Major Championship Debut

Philadelphia PGA Member Alex Knoll, Glen Brook G.C. in Stroudsburg, Pa., will be making his major championship debut in this year’s PGA Championship, August 3-9, at TPC Harding Park in San Francisco.
While the year’s first major will not allow spectators onsite due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, you will be able to root for Alex from home with the PGA Championship’s unprecedented live wire-to-wire coverage:

Tobiason Captures National Car Rental Philadelphia Assistant PGA Professional Title

Mike Tobiason, Deerfield C.C., winner of the 2020 National Car Rental Philadelphia Assistant PGA Professional Championship at St. Davids G.C. (8-under-par 68-62—130) will lead six Section PGA Professionals to compete Nov. 12-15, in the 44th National Car Rental Assistant PGA Professional Championship. Award Nomination Deadline Approaching
The 2020 Awards nomination deadline is fast approaching! Nominations must be sent in by August 28. Award categories include: Golf Professional of the Year, Teacher & Coach of the Year, Professional Development Award, Bill Strausbaugh Award, Player Development Award, Youth Player Development Award, Merchandiser of the Year (Private, Public, and Resort Categories), Assistant Golf Professional of the Year, Patriot Award, and Golf Salesperson of the Year. 100-Hole Golf Marathons to Take Place August - September
This year's PGA REACH Philadelphia 100-Hole Golf Marathon will be held August through October with a fundraising goal is $25,000; to reach this number, we need your help! PGA Professionals and all other willing supporters are asked to register to play 100 holes of golf in one day on a date of their choosing at their facilities between August 1 and October 31. Play in the PGA REACH Philadelphia Pro-Am
PGA REACH Philadelphia is hosting its inaugural pro-am at Rolling Green G.C. on Wed., Oct. 28. The pro-am is designed to be a major fundraising event for the foundation with proceeds helping to fund PGA REACH Philadelphia's Youth, Military and Diversity programming. Celtic Golf Raffle Benefits Riegel Family
Celtic Golf's generous raffle to benefit the family of the late Justin Riegel, PGA, will remain open until the PGA REACH Philadelphia Pro-Am on Oct. 28. The grand prize includes six days and five nights at the five-star Killarney Park Hotel and four rounds of golf at Ballybunion G.C's Old Course, Old Head Golf Links, Tralee G.C. and Waterville Golf Links in Ireland for four golfers. A second prize, a foursome at TPC Sawgrass in Florida, was donated by Derek Sprague, PGA. Entries are $100 each (no limit).

Join the Philadelphia PGA Hole-in-One Club
Any PGA Member or Associate who joins the Hole-in-One Club and makes a hole-in-one during a Section event will earn the entire club's purse. If multiple PGA Professionals make holes-in-one, the purse will be shared. The cost to join the Philadelphia PGA Hole-in-One Club is $20. To join, click here.

Tournament Season Reminders
Section Membership Programs: Register for the Tournament Player Division (TPD), Hole-in-One Club, Philadelphia Assistants' Organization (PAO), Central Counties Chapter (CCC), and / or Chapter Hole-in-One Club by clicking here.

REACH for Birdies: Make pledges to donate a certain dollar amount for each birdie and / or eagle that you make during all official Section and PAO events. To register, click here.
