PGA of America Golf Professional Braden Shattuck Claims Victory at Jack Jolly & Son Championship

Fleetwood, Pa. (September 9, 2024) — PGA of America Golf Professional Braden Shattuck of Rolling Green Golf Club in Springfield, Pa. took first place at the 2024 Jack Jolly & Son Championship, hosted by Moselem Springs Golf Club. Shattuck, a now three-time section champion this season, shot an impressive 6-under par round of 64 to claim his victory.

Shattuck’s round included an astounding six birdies and an eagle enroute to his first place prize. He thanked the leaders and membership at Rolling Green for their continued support and to Moselem Springs and Jack Jolly and Sons Inc. for hosting a great event.

Two strokes behind in second place was Anthony Sebastianelli of Rolling Green G.C. Shooting a three-under par round of 67 was Andrew Turner of Whitford C.C. The PGA Professionals tied for fourth place at two-under par were Michael Little of Clubhouse 54 and Peter Clarke of Manufacturers’ Golf & Country Club.

In the Senior Division, Terry Hertzog claimed first prize, shooting an even-par round of 70. Five PGA professionals tied for second two strokes behind Hertzog. They were Dave McNabb, Applebrook G.C.; Mark Sheftic, Sunnybrook G.C.; PGA Life Member, George Forster; Dom DiJulia, Dijulia School of Golf; and Terry Hatch, Royal Oaks G.C.

Bill Sautter of the Philadelphia Cricket Club took home first in the Super Senior Division with a score of 70, topping Rob Shuey of Elmhurst C.C., by one stroke. Wayne Phillips of Lehigh C.C. shot a three-over, 73, for solo third. Fourth place went to Frank Palumbo, Rolling Green G.C. and fifth place went to PGA Life Member, Michael Versuk. They shot an eight-over, 78, and eleven over, 81, respectively.

The Philadelphia Assistants’ Organization (PAO) held an event concurrently with the Jack Jolly where Anthony Sebastianelli came in first, scoring a four-under par round of 66. One stroke behind him was Andrew Turner of Whitford C.C.  Andrew Cornish from Cedarbrook G.C. and Jeff Fick of Moselem Springs G.C. came in a tie for third, carding even-par rounds. Patrick Allgeier, Aronimink G.C. and Brian Buskirk of Honeybrook G.C., finished in a tie for fifth place, at one-over par.

A Central Counties Chapter event was also held simultaneously during today’s event with Terry Hertzog of Bent Creek G.C., Parks Price, Hanover G.C., and Jeff Fick of Moselem Springs G.C. all finishing at even par. After a playoff, Parks Price was named victorious. Fourth place was a tie between Glen Brook’s Dustin McCormick, and Honeybrook Golf Club’s Brian Buskirk. They all shot a one-over par round of 71.
