PGA of America Golf Professionals Riley Wheeldon, Anthony Sebastianelli Lead 2026 GALV Lehigh Valley / Reading Open
Kutztown, Pa. (July 6, 2026) —Two PGA of America Golf Professionals are currently tied for the lead in the 2026 GALV Lehigh Valley / Reading Open. Aronimink Golf Club’s Riley Wheeldon and Whitford Country Club’s Anthony Sebastianelli fired low rounds of 64, 8-under-par, and had zero bogeys on their cards. Their impressive rounds are only one stroke off of the course record set last year by Andrew Cornish in the same event.
The Rolex / Haverford Trust Company Philadelphia PGA Player of the Year points event’s final round is scheduled for tomorrow, Tuesday, July 7 at Moselem Springs Golf Club where the two will try to maintain their lead, despite tough competition right on their heels.
Tied for third place only one stroke back of the leaders are Rolling Green Golf Club’s Braden Shattuck and Chesapeake Bay Golf Club’s Zach Barbin, both who are no stranger to the winners circle. Also in the hunt, at 6-under-par is Michael Rushin from Bear Trap Dunes and Richard Stolz from Go Golf LLC.
Moselem Springs Golf Club, in collaboration with Berkleigh Golf Club, announced the return of the Reading Open in 2025, an iconic professional tournament that was a regular PGA Tour stop in the 1940s and 1950s, previously held at storied venues such as Berkshire Country Club and Reading Country Club.
Leading the Senior Divison, is Jason Wilson from Bethlehem Golf Club who shot 4-under-par. Dave McNabb from Applebrook and Brian Kelly of Titleist Fitcrew are also in the mix shooting 2-under-par and 1-under-par, respectively. Four PGA Professionals currently sit in a tie for fourth place at even par.
Nineteen amateurs are competing alongside the PGA Professional field, with Robert Linepensel setting the bar with a round of 7-under-par, six strokes ahead of Kyle Pritchard. Kyan DeLong sits in third place amongst the amateurs, shooting 2-over-par.
Bill Sautter of the Philadelphia Cricket Club played well today and currently leads the Super Senior Division at 4-under-par, two shots ahead of Lehigh Country Club’s Wayne Phillips. Brian Leib sits in third place at even par, with Rich Fleischer from Lehigh Country Club and Darryl Lock of Skippack Golf Club close behind.
The Philadelphia PGA Section’s Central Counties Chapter is hosting an event concurrently with the Lehigh Valley Open and Jason Wilson is also in first. Tied for second are Moselem Springs Golf Club’s Jeff Fick and Bent Creek Country Club’s Parks Price who shot 3-under-par rounds. Alex Knoll out of Glen Brook Golf Club is in a solo fourth at 2-under-par. Two PGA Professionals are tied for fifth.
The Philadelphia PGA would also like to shoutout Austin Barbin from Chesapeake Bay Golf Club on making his first Hole-in-One on the fifteenth hole at Berkleigh Golf Club. Barbin made the shot from 192 yards using a 7-iron. Congratulations Austin!

Ted McKenzie, now retired, has a remarkable résumé for both playing professional accomplishments. He was the longtime PGA Professional at Waynesborough Country Club in Paoli, Pa., and later helped found the famed Stonewall Links in Elverson, Pa. During his career, he worked his way through the ranks of the Philadelphia PGA Section’s Board of Directors, ultimately serving as the Section’s president, and also served as the Section’s tournament chair. For over 20 years, McKenzie was one of the leading players in the Section. His two biggest wins within the Section included the 1971 Philadelphia Open and the 1979 Philadelphia PGA Professional Championship. He earned the Player of the Year title in 1975, and also earned the F. Edward DeBaufre Trophy for Scoring Average the same year. Throughout his career, he qualified for two U.S. Opens, seven PGA Professional Championships and a Senior PGA Professional Championship. In the first 13 years of the Challenge Cup Matches against the Middle Atlantic PGA Section, McKenzie qualified for the team 11 times and he earned a berth on the team a total of 12 times. In 1984, he was honored as the Section’s PGA Golf Professional of the Year and was inducted into the Philadelphia PGA Hall of Fame in 2006.
Jerry Pisano, named a Philadelphia PGA Playing Legend posthumously, worked as the PGA Professional at several facilities, including Overbrook Golf Club in Villanova, Pa., Locust Valley in Coopersburg, Pa., Radnor Valley Country Club in Villanova, Pa., and Edgmont Country Club in Newtown Square, Pa. Pisano won the Philadelphia Open three times, in 1957, 1962, and 1965, in addition to the 1964 Pennsylvania Open. Over the course of his career, Pisano competed in five major championships, including three PGA Championships (1961, 1962, and 1963), and two U.S. Opens (1962 and 1963).
