Jeb Boyle, PGA, Leads Team to Victory in 2021 Philadelphia PGA Team Stableford Championship

Fleetwood, Pa. (July 22, 2021) — PGA Life Member Jeb Boyle led his amateur team of Mike Boyle, Mike McKinney, and Paul Nelson, to victory in the 2021 Philadelphia PGA Team Stableford Championship on a picture perfect day at Moselem Springs Golf Club.

Boyle, the longtime PGA Professional at Centre Hills C.C. in State College, Pa., and his teammates combined for 20 birdies and two eagles in the two best of four net modified Stableford format to total 92 points. The team won the event by five points over the teams representing Green Pond G.C., PGA Member John Kulhamer, amateurs Charlir Leon, John Mace, and Ryan Orcutt; and Shawnee Inn & Golf Resort, PGA Associate Brian Bergstol, amateurs Jason Wilson, Riley Hogan, and Zach Fischl.

PGA Member Chris Gardner, Bluestone C.C., and amateurs Ben Pergament, Larry Segal, and Chris Adams, finished tied for fourth place with 86 points with Berkshire C.C.’s Tom Michaels, PGA, amateurs Keith Derr, Scott McIntyre, and Steve Brunner.

The modified Stableford points were awarded as follows: 5 points for double eagle, 4 points for eagle, 3 points for birdie, 2 points for par, and 1 point for bogey or higher.

Bergstol’s team won the Gross Division with 85 points, helped by 13 gross team birdies. Finishing five points behind, was PGA Member Chris Matthews and his amateurs from Irem C.C., Jonathan Wilson, Robert Stanton, and John Bodin. Boyle’s team finished third in the Gross Division, while four others tied for fourth.
