Oakley, Shattuck to Compete in 2024 PGA Championship

Lower Gwynedd Township, Pa. (May 2, 2024) — Two PGA of America Golf Professionals hailing from the Philadelphia PGA Section have secured their places on the Corebridge Financial PGA Team to compete in the 2024 PGA Championship on May 13-19.

Zac Oakley of Bidermann Golf Club in Wilmington, Del., and Braden Shattuck of Rolling Green Golf Club in Springfield, Pa., both tied for 16th place in the 2024 PGA Professional Championship at PGA Frisco in Frisco, Texas. Shattuck was defending champion, having won the championship last year at Twin Warriors Golf Club in New Mexico in his first PGA Professional Championship start. Oakley and Shattuck will both make their second major championship appearance, with Oakley having competed in the 2022 PGA Championship at Southern Hills Country Club in Oklahoma, and Shattuck playing in last year’s PGA Championship at Oak Hill Golf Club in New York.

Corebridge Financial broadened its partnership with the PGA of America to include the title sponsorship of the Corebridge Financial PGA Team at the PGA Championship, KitchenAid Senior PGA Championship and KPMG Women’s PGA Championship. For the PGA Championship, the team consists of talented PGA of America Golf Professionals from across the country.

Both PGA Members were part of a 13-player-strong contingent representing the Philadelphia PGA Section in the 2024 PGA Professional Championship.
