Philadelphia PGA Section Partners with Makefield Putters

Lower Gwynedd Township, Pa. (April 27, 2022) — The Philadelphia PGA Section today is happy to announce it has partnered with Makefield Putters, a company located in Bensalem, Pa., that was recently founded by Everett Farr, Matthew Fuchs and Michael Little, PGA, who bring engineering, manufacturing, and golf expertise to create a state-of-the-art putter with the latest technological equipment advances.

As part of the agreement, Makefield Putters will support the 2022 Philadelphia Players Championship at Lookaway Golf Club on Monday, August 1. The Philadelphia Players Championship, now in its third year, is a Philadelphia PGA Rolex / The Haverford Trust Company Player of the Year event, and boasts one of largest one-day payouts in the Section.

“The Philadelphia PGA is excited to partner with Makefield Putters,” said Section Executive Director Geoff Surrette, PGA. “Our PGA Professionals are always eager to support a local company, and with Philadelphia PGA Member Michael Little as a founder, we expect our relationship to flourish.”

Makefield Putters is located in Bensalem, Pa., Everett’s father served as a Section tournament field staff member, while Everett has always been a huge fan of the Philadelphia PGA and the PGA’s desire and passion to grow the game of golf. Farr is an engineer and manufacturer by trade, and during the pandemic, turned his engineering focus to the mechanics and design of putters. After a year of trial and error, with help from PGA Professionals, the Makefield V-S Putter was introduced at the 2022 PGA Show and was voted “Most Innovative New Club Technology” by PGA.com.

Little, a PGA Member himself, has served on several Section committees and is a two-time Rolex / The Haverford Trust Company Philadelphia PGA Player of the Year.

“Makefield Putters was created with a passion for golf,” said Makefield Putters Founder / Vice President of Marketing and Sales Michael Little, PGA. “It is a win-win opportunity when a golf company can support the community that grows the game of golf. As a PGA Member, I look forward to supporting my friends and peers and continuing to build relationships through a sponsorship with the Philadelphia PGA Section.
