Update on the Philadelphia PGA Section Facebook Page

Fellow PGA Professionals:

Recently, Meta unpublished the Philadelphia PGA Section’s official Facebook page through what appears to be an automated moderation system. While the initial notification claimed that the page violated Facebook’s terms and conditions, the account currently has zero violations, nor has it ever acquired a violation in the past. As such, we believe that the page was unpublished by mistake or machine error and that it will be restored. We appealed the decision immediately and the page has been “in review” ever since, with no timetable for updates provided.

Unfortunately, Facebook and its parent company Meta have no customer support team for public use, nor does it offer a typical ticket support system. We are currently working with our contacts with the PGA of America’s digital team to investigate options on how to get the page restored for public consumption.

Our Philadelphia PGA Section Facebook Forum Group does appear to still be operational for your use. In the meantime, we are exploring photo album hosting services so that we may post photos from our events. If you are searching for a specific photo, please contact me at mfrey@pgahq.com.

We apologize for any inconvenience, and updates will be provided as soon as they are available. Should you have any questions, please to not hesitate to reach out to me via the email address listed below.

Sincerely,

Matt Frey, PGA
