Bergstol, Oakley, and Shattuck Tie to Share Storm-Shortened 2021 Philadelphia PGA Conestoga Classic Title

Lancaster, Pa. (June 21, 2021) — Inclement weather shortened the 2021 Philadelphia PGA Conestoga Classic at Conestoga Country Club. PGA Professionals Brian Bergstol, Zac Oakley, and Braden Shattuck tied for first place at 2-under-par.

Bergstol, representing Shawnee Inn & Golf Resort, and Bidermann G.C.’s Oakley and Shattuck, each finished with scores of 68 before severe weather suspended play at approximately 6:00 p.m. Alex Knoll, Glen Brook G.C, John Allen, and Trevor Bensel, Overbrook G.C., finished tied for fourth place one stroke back.

John Allen, PGA, won the Senior Division by four strokes over five PGA Members. In the Super Senior Division, PGA Life Member Michael Versuk took first place at 1-over-par, finishing seven ahead of Saucon Valley C.C.’s Joe Ambrose. Bergstol, Oakley, and Shattuck also tied for first in the Philadelphia Assistants’ Organization (PAO) Division.

While over 75 percent of the filed completed their rounds, allowing for purse distribution, Rolex Player of the Year Points points will not be awarded.
