Overbrook G.C. and Woodcrest C.C. Teams Tie to Share 2021 Philadelphia PGA Professional-Assistant Professional Championship

Somers Point, N.J. (June 14, 2021) — PGA Professional teams from Overbrook G.C. and Woodcrest C.C. tied for first place in the 2021 Philadelphia PGA Professional-Assistant Professional Championship at Greate Bay C.C. with Four-Ball scores of 5-under-par 65s.

Overbrook G.C. PGA Head Professional Eric Kennedy teamed with PGA Assistant Professional and 2020 Women’s PGA Professional Player of the Year Ashley Grier to card six birdies at Greate Bay, a golf course that the field roundly commended. Woodcrest C.C. PGA Director of Golf John DiMarco paired up with PGA Director of Instruction Stephen Sieracki to tie Overbrook’s PGA Professionals, with five birdies of their own. Seven teams tied for third, one stroke back, at 4-under-par.

Kennedy shot a 69 on his own golf ball, assisting his other two-person teams to high finishes too: all five Overbrook teams finished T11 or better.

In the Non-PGA Professional Division, Green Valley C.C. PGA Head Professional John Cooper teamed with staffer Bertus Wessels for a 5-under-par 65 to win the division by two strokes over one of Cooper’s other staff members, Eric Mahoney, and the Regents’ Glen C.C. team of Andrew Geesey, PGA, and Matthew Chalupa. Three teams tied for fourth place in the division.
